My most recent TOS era project for Star Trek: Continuum. The Ares Class from Axanar. She fills the role of early era frigate in ST:C. Along side the Detroyat Class. In ST:C the Ares is better armed, and shielded than the Detroyat.
I tried to make this model as close as possible to Tobias Richtor's awesomely detailed CGI (Much respect to Mr. Richtor!). While keeping the poly count level to a 32 bit gaming standard (aka the Homeworld Remastered engine). I did deviate a little from Mr. Richtor's CGI as far as the hull coloring. This models base hull color is closer to the TOS Constitution. The rest of the models detail was color sampled directly from the CGI, and i tried to cram in as much as i could. The nacelle bussard collectors were a particular annoyance, because it is an animated texture. It was extremely difficult to replicate the detail, and effect of the original CGI on a flat 2d texture. Fortunately HWRM has a "glass" shader.
